Online Club DJ Course at EUMES

Do you want to train as a DJ?

We present our Club DJ course with in-person classes in Girona, where we offer a DJ course tailored to your level of knowledge. The course is structured through private lessons at Eumes school (Girona), with a schedule arranged with the instructor.

The DJ course at Eumes is taught by music industry professionals with experience in teaching DJ and music production techniques. The program is designed to accommodate students of all levels, from beginners to experienced DJs looking to refine their skills.

INFORMATION AND COURSE SYLLABUS

The goal of the course is to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to become professional DJs. Students will learn mixing techniques, DJ software, song selection, and performance techniques to prepare them for playing at any type of event.

 

  1. Introduction to Professional Equipment

    • Theory and practice of operating professional DJ equipment.
    • Assembly/disassembly and preparation of equipment ready for performance.
    • Parts of CDJs and mixers.
    • Necessary cabling and additional equipment.
    • Rekordbox.

    Syncing

    • Beatmatching/syncing tracks by adjusting pitch.
    • Beatmatching/syncing tracks by adjusting jog & pitch.
    • Fluidity in syncing.

    Mixing

    • Equalization (L, M, H).
    • Equalization with effects.
    • Different types of mixes based on purpose (L, M, H).
    • Mixing different music styles.
    • Track structure.
    • Identifying different parts of a song and their purpose.
    • Mixing tracks based on structure.
    • Using LOOP mode.

    Effects

    • Identifying different FX (Sound Color FX, FX Frequency, Send/Return).
    • How to use each effect and when.
    • External effects.
    • Effects for mixing.

    DJ Set

    • Structuring a DJ set.
    • Preparing tracks for a DJ set based on the venue.
    • Dance floor psychology.
    • Recording a DJ set.

    Advanced

    • Vinyl.
    • Achieving maximum fluency with the decks.
    • Mixing with 3/4 decks.

    Technical Rider

    • Vinyl.
    • Creating your Technical Rider.

    Harmonic Mixing

    • Knowledge of harmonic mixing.
    • Using the Camelot Wheel and its importance.
    • Mixed in Key.
    • Rekordbox Key.
    • Types of harmonic mixes.

    DJ Set Preparation

    • DJ Set for Streaming (Podcast and/or Live Radio).
    • DJ Set for Live Performance (Club or Festival).

    Press Kit

    • How to create a press kit and its importance.
    • Preparing your own press kit.

    Live Acts

    • Performance

No, prior DJing experience is not required to take the course. The course is designed for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.

EUMES provides all the necessary equipment for the course, including mixers, DJ controllers, headphones, and speakers.
