Laura West , known artistically as Westie , is a singer, songwriter, music producer and ghostwriter born in Girona. Her artistic proposal moves within the urban scene, although she moves away from the most commercial canons to explore a more experimental and personal approach. Her sound combines the energy of contemporary pop with electronic textures and emotional atmospheres that reflect a strong identity and a solid musical background.
She is currently immersed in the final production phase of her first EP, entitled “Quién soy cuando nadie mira” , a conceptual work made up of 7 tracks that marks a before and after in her career. Through this album, Westie strips down emotionally to explore her deepest shadows, while also making a poetic critique of an overwhelmed and crisis-ridden society. The project moves from an idealized world to an inevitable darkness, offering an intense and visceral sonic narrative.
Live, Laura presents a unique show, with a powerful staging and choreographies by her group of dancers, the Westies . This stage proposal has led her to perform in leading venues such as Sala Apolo (Barcelona) , Sala Vesta (Madrid) and festivals such as the Negrita Music Festival or Holika , among others.
In addition, she has been the opening act for top artists such as Bad Gyal , RVFV and RELS B , consolidating herself as one of the emerging voices of the state’s urban scene.
Laura West represents a new generation of artists trained at EUMES: creative, restless and with a voice of their own that leaves no one indifferent.
