After Carles Reixach explained his must-have plugins for music production, we continue this series with a new selection. On this occasion it’s the turn of Arnau Sala (da Professor), EUMES’ head of teaching and producer, who reveals the tools that form part of his creative daily routine.

From EUMES, we share his list of essential plugins.

1. Elastique Pitch v2 – zplane

This plugin allows pitch changes of up to an octave, with control of the formants. Although this type of processing is not new, it stands out especially for its sound quality, a key factor when manipulating the pitch of audio.

It is a very reliable tool when you need to change pitch without unwanted artifacts.

2. Sweetone – Sonimus

Sweetone is a high-frequency equaliser with curves inspired by vintage models, and it also includes a pre-amplification section to add warmth to the mix.

At EUMES we consider it particularly useful on tracks with a lot of high-frequency content, where you need to add brightness without harshness.

3. Serum

Nowadays, Serum has become a standard in modern music production. It is an extremely versatile synthesizer, capable of generating a wide variety of sounds with precision and quality.

It is a key tool in many current productions and an indispensable plugin in many workflows.

4. iZotope Trash 2

Trash 2 is a multiband distortion plugin that allows applying different types of distortion to each frequency band.

It is ideal both for processing individual tracks and for parallel processing, providing character, texture and controlled aggression.

5. Volume Shaper 4

This plugin lets you work on volume control very precisely, with the ability to choose which frequency bands are affected.

It is especially useful for creating rhythmic movements, creative ducking and dynamic effects applied with great flexibility.

If you want to learn how to use professional plugins, synthesizers and creative tools like those used by active producers, the Diploma in Advanced Music and Sound at EUMES works with real workflows, applied to current music production.
