STUDY PLAN

Your path as a producer starts here

A course designed to learn by doing; classes are divided into blocks of theory and practical exercises. After each class you will have some notes and a small task so you can progress between classes at your own pace. At the end of the course, you will have one of your own tracks finished.

Setup, interface and the two views of the program. From day one you’ll make one of your ideas sound.

Drum Rack, rhythmic patterns and the elements that make a programmed drum sound human: groove, swing and dynamics.

Working with samples: browser, clip editing and warp to fit any sound to your project’s tempo.

Turn a loop into a song: sections, markers, energy management, transitions and automation.

Balance, panning and criteria for exporting your track so it doesn’t sound distorted.

Scales, chords and progressions, always from practice: first make it sound and then understand why it works.

EQ, delay and reverb applied to your first complete idea made with samples.

MIDI tracks, piano roll, recording and MIDI effects. Choose your sounds and write your own notes.

You produce a complete track and we review it in class by opening the project, with personalised feedback.
