DJ Course Syllabus
Introduction
- Theory and practice of the operation of a professional DJ setup.
- Assembly/disassembly and preparation of a setup ready for a performance.
- Parts of CDJs and mixers.
- Necessary cabling and additional equipment.
- Rekordbox.
Synchronisation
- Beatmatch/synchronise tracks by adjusting pitch.
- Beatmatch/synchronise tracks by adjusting jog & pitch.
- Fluency in synchronisation.
Mixing
- Equalisation. (L,M,H).
- Equalisation with effects.
- Different types of mixes depending on their purpose. (L,M,H).
- Mixing different music styles.
Track structure
- Identify the different parts of a song and their purpose.
- Mix tracks according to their structure.
- Use LOOP mode.
Effects
- Identify the different FX (Sound Color FX, FX Frequency, Send/Return).

Who is the DJ course aimed at?
The DJ course is aimed at both beginners who need a solid foundation and experienced DJs who want to perfect technique, musical judgement and control of the dance floor.

What is the price of the course?
The Club DJ course costs 645 euros. If you do it as a pair, each pays 575 euros.
How long is the course?
20 hours of class. You can do it in one month or extend it to two: it depends on your schedule and how much effort you put in.
How do the schedules work?
We adapt to you. Tell us which days and times suit you best and we will coordinate it with the instructor’s schedule.
Are the classes one-to-one?
Yes. They are one-to-one lessons: you and your instructor in the booth. That way we progress at your pace and work on exactly what you need.
Can I take the course with another person?
Yes. If you want to learn with a friend or with your partner, each has a discount of 70 euros and the course costs you 575 euros per person.
Do I need prior experience?
No. The course is suitable whether you are starting from scratch or you have been DJing for years and want to perfect your technique. We adapt the content to your level.
What equipment will I learn on?
With the same equipment you ‘ll find in clubs: 2 CDJ-3000, mixer DJM-900NXS2, RMX-1000, turntables Technics SL-1200 MK7 and Pioneer PLX-500.
Where are the classes held?
In the professional booth of Campus EUMES Girona (Carrer de Baix, 2, La Marf e0 building). The course is in-person only.

Will I receive any certificate?
Yes. Upon completion of the course you will receive the EUMES certificate that certifies the training.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, 16 years old. There is no maximum age.
How can I enrol?
Reserve your place online and send us the payment receipt. The teacher will contact you to set the dates and start as soon as possible.
And if I can’t attend a class?
Give us at least 48 hours’ notice and we’ll reschedule. If you don’t notify us in time, the class will be considered held and cannot be made up or refunded.
