Official scholarships from the Ministry of Education

Since EUMES is a recognised Higher Artistic Music Education Centre, our Degree students can apply for the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MEFP) general scholarships under the same conditions as university students.

Who can apply for the MEC scholarship?

This call is aimed at all students enrolled or who will enrol in the Degree in Higher Artistic Education.

What do these aids include?

Ministry scholarships are calculated according to your family income, your average grade and your residence during the academic year.

They may include:

Fixed amount associated with income: direct financial aid depending on family income.
Fixed amount associated with residence: for students who need to reside away from their usual home during the academic year in Girona.
Fixed amount for academic excellence: reward for your performance and previous grades.
Variable amount: additional sum once the fixed amounts have been allocated, distributed according to the student’s income and grades.

When can I apply for the Ministry scholarship?

The call usually opens between March and May, before the start of the academic year. The application is submitted online through the electronic portal of the Ministry of Education.

What financial requirements must I meet?

To apply for the grant, family income and assets must not exceed the thresholds set annually by the Ministry of Education.

What academic requirements are requested?

You must be enrolled for the minimum number of required ECTS credits and meet the academic criteria for passing modules established by the Ministry.

Frequently Asked Questions about Scholarships and Financial Aid

Are the Ministry scholarships compatible with the Eumes degree?

Yes. As it is a official Higher Degree in Artistic Education, Eumes students have access to exactly the same public scholarships as any student of an official university degree.

Do you need to have enrolled at Eumes to apply for the scholarship?

Usually, the initial application for the MEC scholarship is made in spring (March-May), before final confirmation of enrolment. Later, during the registration period, the final academic data are confirmed.

What happens if I am not granted the official scholarship?

If you are not granted the scholarship or need to cover the full tuition from day one, you can opt for our internal installment financing options.

Does Eumes have other scholarships or aid (large family, for example)?

At the moment we do not have our own scholarships for our students, but we recommend that you request information about financing models and submit your application for the MEC scholarship.
