Arnau Grabolosa, known artistically as Grabu, is a musician, producer and artistic director who has turned his passion for music into a versatile career spanning stages, studios and social projects. A former student of EUMES, he has participated as a multi-instrumentalist on some of the most significant tours in the current Catalan scene with artists such as Guillem Gisbert, Triquell, Llum and Maig, performing at festivals like Primavera Sound, Festival Vida, Cap Roig and Festival B.
With his own project, Grabu, he has released three albums —blast, time and again and pulse— and has played more than 60 concerts across the country, including a national tour that took him to iconic venues such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. He has also shared bills with international names like Rosario Flores, Jorge Drexler and Paul Anka.
In addition to his work as a performer, Grabu has worked as a music producer and composer, taking part in the creation of Triquell’s new record and collaborating with artists such as GIN and Núria Duran. He also composed the soundtrack for the short film Desfici, directed by Gerard Puig.
His commitment to culture goes beyond the stage. He is the director of the Festival Mússol, a charity festival supporting the fight against childhood cancer, which across six editions has raised more than €15,000 and has featured artists such as Amaia, Mushkaa and The Tyets. He has also served as musical director in theatrical productions such as Grease and Mamma Mia, and has carried out booking tasks for emerging artists.
Grabu has also been present at awards galas such as the Gaudí Awards, Enderrock, ARC and Llibreter, and has made television appearances on programmes like Això no és una cançó, Tempo and Late Xou.
At just 24, Grabu represents a new generation of professionals trained at EUMES who understand music as a tool for creation, expression and social transformation.
