Creative block is a producer’s worst enemy. We’ve all been faced with an empty Ableton project or a 4-bar loop that we don’t know how to close. But what if you could have a creative partner available 24/7?
At EUMES we believe that the future of production is not about pressing a button and having the machine do everything, but about using AI tools for music production as a catalyst to unlock your own sonic identity.
AI as a generator of musical ideas
New ways to diggin' with AI
One of the most powerful applications of AI tools for music production is the generation and manipulation of samples.
Generate samples with AI tools such as Udio , Suno , Tad AI , Stable Audio or Beatoven they allow you to use prompts to generate samples that you can then manipulate in your DAW. The result is yours: the AI gives you the raw material, you transform it.
We can use AI track separation tools like RipX DAW or Lalal.ai , this allows you to extract the different elements of a loop to only use what works.
Finally, you can use Splice ‘s integration within Ableton Live to find samples that go well with your production. You just have to select the fragment of your song that you want to use as a reference and drag it into the Splice window where it says “ Search with Sound “.
AI tools to improve workflow and structure
- Sonible : some of the smart series plugins such as smart:EQ or smart:comp analyze your track or stereo bus and detect frequency or dynamics problems respectively.
- iZotope : The renowned plug-in house has some assistants that use AI to facilitate the mixing and mastering processes through Neutron and Ozone.
Recommended AI tools for lyricists
Although we don’t recommend using AI to create entire songs or compose an entire lyric, since we will hardly be able to obtain a result that connects and excites the listener, it doesn’t hurt to have some resources on hand for when we’re stuck.
1. General Language Models (Your "Co-writers")
ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini: they are by far the best tools if you know how to do the prompt. Claude, for example, tends to have a slightly more “literary” and poetic touch. The secret is not to ask them to “write a pop song,” but to use them as an intelligent dictionary of synonyms and rhymes that you dialogue with line by line.
2. Specialized Songwriting Tools
- MasterWriter : a classic of the music industry (used by great composers) that has been integrating intelligent functions. It doesn’t give you the lyrics, but instead displays a brutal range of rhymes, alliteration, catchphrases and words related to your topic (in English).
- DeepBeat : If you do urban genres like Rap or Trap in English, this tool is very interesting. It uses AI to analyze thousands of rap lyrics and helps you find complex rhymes and next lines that fit the rhythm you are looking for.
Conclusion: the human factor is irreplaceable
AI tools for music production They can generate a thousand ideas, but only you have the sensitivity to know which ones will excite on a dance floor or on a soundtrack. AI may be your paintbrush, but you are the painter.
IN EUMES we train professionals and help them train their judgment and ear. If you want to turn your talent into your profession, discover our music production courses such as Diploma in Advanced Music and Sound or Degree in Music .
